Heliocide

On the baleful night of June the ninth,
Ten ravens flew and croaked with blithe,
For they have known what they have done;
Their eyes ablaze in the midnight sun.

Their talons reeked the stench of crime,
Their blood-soaked beaks spoke murdered prime,
Then silence reigned and light was gone,
As drowned a star by the Fallen One.

And now forlorn are sons of man,
For a red moon shines where Sol once span.

  • Very Edgar Allan Poe of you. 😉 I haven’t been to your blog in some time. Glad you are still writing every once in awhile.
